For the first six months 2014 internal consumption of natural gas increased in the Republic of Kazakhstan by 20% in comparison with the similar period of last year that testifies to success of the program for gasification of regions, the Minister of Oil and Gas Uzakbai Karabalin said at the briefing in CCS, Bnews.kz correspondent reports.
“Significantly internal consumption of natural gas increased. For half a year it made 6.9 billion cubic meters, i.e. nearly 120% in relation to the same period of last year, it testifies to success of the program for gasification of regions which annually goes and now will proceed according to the General scheme of gasification of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In six months the KazTransGas and also in the area of the Asian gas pipeline through the territory of our country carried out transit of nearly 46 billion cubic meters of gas,” Karabalin stated.4 Aug 2014 | News
As he noted, 21.1 billion cubic meters of gas was got for half a year that in comparison with the similar period of last year made 102%. Production of commodity dry gas made 14 billion cubic meters and wet gas 1.186 million tons.
“For the first half year in the country 7.2 million tons of oil is processed, performance by the similar period of last year made 100.5%. Now there is a process of modernization of three large Kazakhstan oil refineries which it is planned to finish in 2016. As a result during 2017-2022 the republic will be completely provided with gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel according to the Euro-4, Euro-5 standards,” Karabalin added.
